Having worked on Colorectal Research for the past 10 years, I have seen first hand the fantastic work this charity does in supporting developments and innovations in bowel cancer treatment.
Several years ago I developed hip pain that significantly reduced my ability to do the activities I loved.
I could no longer go on family walks without suffering for days afterwards and having always been an active person, I found myself grieving the activities and sports I loved and that helped my mental wellbeing.
After being diagnosed with Hip Impingement, I had surgery on both hips within 2 years, the most recent being last November. Through my rehab I wanted to set myself a goal. I’d previously done the Winchester PPP 8 years ago and its a great family friendly event that allows me to push myself whilst still being manageable. My lovely brother, Matt, who has been there to support me every step of the way will be competing alongside me on the day!
