Wow! What an amazing 4 days we had at the congress, such an informative and fantastic event.
Professor Jim Khan and the team put on this 4-day event; they invited Students, Nurses, Doctors, Consultants and Professors from all over the world to take part and to support it. So much knowledge and expertise in one room, it was just mind blowing!
There were also lots of trade stands highlighting the latest surgical and medical equipment. We got to talk to lots of people that were so dedicated to helping people like me and the PBCA team. Although a lot of it went over our heads, and we still found it incredible.
There were live operations being performed at the Queen Alexandra Hospital by Professor Jim Khan and other Consultants. Each time two of the operations were performed using the Da Vinci Robot and one was performed with Key hole surgery.
We were able to watch live operations in the auditorium, with a panel of professionals asking questions to the 3 surgeons operating, and giving their views on different operating techniques.
can honestly say that to be in that auditorium with such talented and dedicated people was just amazing. I know I speak for us all when I say we were in awe of them and so thankful that we have just the best team looking out for patients like us. I know that without them I certainly wouldn’t still be here today.
I look forward to next year’s congress. Well done and thank you to you all!
